Common problems we fix
Not heating or not cooling. Often a dirty system, a sensor fault or a refrigerant issue.
Water leaking from the indoor unit. Usually a blocked drain or a dirty coil.
Error code or flashing lights. We read the code and trace the fault.
Zone control faults. Zones not opening or closing, or the wall controller not responding, on systems such as AirTouch and Mitsubishi ZoneIQ.
Strange noises. Rattling, buzzing or clicking from the indoor or outdoor unit.
Bad smell. Usually mould or bacteria build-up inside the unit. Deep clean and mould treatment
Won't turn on. Power, remote, control board or wiring faults.
Ice on the outdoor unit. Some frost in winter is normal; constant icing is not.

Common questions
My system isn't performing like it used to. Why?
The most common cause is dirty filters. Blocked filters restrict the airflow, so the system works harder, heats and cools less and costs more to run. Check and clean your filters first. If it's still not right, book a service or repair and we'll find the cause. How to clean your filters
Why is my heat pump leaking water inside?
The most common cause is a blocked condensate drain or a dirty coil. Turn it off and give us a call to stop water damage.
Why are some rooms not heating on my ducted system?
It's often a zone control fault, such as a damper motor or controller issue, or a section of ducting that has come loose or disconnected. We can test the zones, check the ductwork and find the cause.
Is it worth repairing an old heat pump?
Often, yes. Sometimes a replacement is better value. We'll give you an honest recommendation either way. Heat pump installation
