Installation
What size heat pump do I need?
It depends on the room size, insulation, windows and how much sun it gets. Getting the size right is the biggest factor in comfort and running costs, which is why we assess it in person at a free site visit.
How much does installation cost?
It depends on the unit, the model and how straightforward the install is. You get a clear, written quote after a free consultation and site visit.
Which brands do you install?
We supply and install Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic and Daikin. See our heat pumps
Should I repair or replace my old heat pump?
Often a repair is the better value, sometimes a replacement is. We will give you an honest recommendation either way.
Servicing and repairs
My system isn't performing like it used to. Why?
The most common cause is dirty filters. Blocked filters restrict the airflow, so the system works harder, heats and cools less and costs more to run. Check and clean your filters first. If it's still not right, book a service or repair. Repairs and breakdowns
How often should my system be serviced?
Every home is different. It depends on the environment and how much the system is used, so timings vary. For systems still under warranty, we recommend a Comprehensive Service every year. It's a chance to go through the whole system and pick up any potential issues while it's still covered. Servicing options
Can I clean the filters myself?
Yes, and we encourage it. Cleaning your filters between services keeps your system running efficiently. Vacuum or rinse them, let them dry fully and slide them back in. Ask us at your next service and we'll show you how.
My heat pump smells musty. What can I do?
A musty smell usually means mould or bacteria inside the indoor unit. Shine your phone torch up into the fan barrel to check. Our deep clean and mould treatment strips the unit down and cleans it properly.
Do you service brands you didn't install?
Yes. We service and repair all makes and models of air conditioning, whoever installed them.
How quickly can you come out for a breakdown?

Rentals and Healthy Homes
Does a heat pump meet the Healthy Homes heating standard?
Yes, as long as it's a fixed heat pump that can directly heat the main living room and has enough heating capacity for that room. We work out the required capacity using the Tenancy Services heating assessment tool. Landlords and property managers

Can I see heat pumps before I buy?
Yes. Our Rosedale showroom has a range of Mitsubishi Electric heat pumps on display. Visits are by appointment.
